How to automate video generation using Zapier

This is a guide to using Potion Actions in Zapier and uses automatic video generation after a meeting is booked in Hubspot as the example case.

Detailed Instructions 

1. Connect Zapier to your Potion Account by following this guide.
2. Select Create Zap in Zapier 
3. Consider what you want to be the trigger - Your trigger will be the event that you want to kick off the video generation process for a contact.
   
   • Considerations ⚠️ 
     • For a video to be generated the first name must be in your name bank already
       
       • If you haven't recorded a name previously it will appear on the "video's made using this template" list and you can record all un-recorded names by selecting the record greeting button from your video template page.
     • You'll need to have a minimum of either [Contact First Name + Email Address] OR [Contact First Name + Linkedin Profile]
     • If you intend to include a custom background you'll also need their website (you can usually grab this from their email and our example covers how to do this using Zapier) 
       • For these reasons events where you collect information from someone are good candidates for kicking this process off!
   • Some ideas to get the wheels turning 🧠 
     • Use a lead magnet like an Ebook, Webinar Registration, etc to capture information and act as a trigger!
     • Use a video being watched to kick off generation for a follow up video! 
     • Trial Sign Up 
     • Cold call outcome: Answered - Interested (but not converted) 
     • New Customer Closed
4. Select your App that contains the trigger event: We're using Hubspot for our example.  
   
   
   
5. IF You are new to Zapier: Connect your Hubspot account by Logging in and Providing Access 
6. Select the specific form that cause the zap to fire
   
7. Find test record and continue with selected record
8. Select add a step 
   
9. Select Potion 
   
10. Select an *Event - The only event included in the beta is video generation
    
11. Select the Potion Profile you want to generate the video
12. Copy the video ID from the video you want to personalize 
    1. Navigate to the video you want to personalize in Potion
    2. Select Share Your Video
    3. Select Copy Video Template Link
    4. Paste this into your browser - You'll see something that looks like this
       
       1. The URL you see will follow this format https://app.sendpotion.com/videoID
          • For example 👇
       2. https://app.sendpotion.com/6532f65721947d4deecf672b
       3. Select the portion of the URL after your domain.com/ and copy this value.
13. Paste your video id into the the *Template Video ID field
14. Populate the data source for each of the inputs Potion Needs 
    
    1. 1. The three fields below Template Video ID (shown below) Map to the CSV columns of the Add More Prospects Page

       2. Completed it should look something like this
15. Select Continue and complete any testing steps 
16. Select Publish 
17. Make sure your Zap is toggled on
